Activity Idea - Fathers Day

Let pre-schoolers experiment with colours making this plaque for Fathers Day, or make a keepsake handprint card. If you are doing this as a group activity, ensure that you expand "Dad" to include grandfathers, uncles and other men who play an important role in the children's lives.

Plaque for Dad

Step 1
You will need 8 paddle pop sticks. Use coloured sticks or paint plain sticks in your favourite colour.

Step 2
Glue the sticks together side by side on cardboard using PVA glue.

Step 3
When dry, write the word Dad onto the sticks. Follow the writing with glue. Make letters on glued writing with wool.
