This activity is great for multicultural activities and fine motor skills.
Suitable for ages to school age children.
You will need:
- Paper plates (large or small)
- Macaroni or similar
- Stapler
- Masking tape (wide)
Decorating ideas:
- Paints, collage, crayons, coloured pencils, coloured marker pens.
Method:
- Let the children decorate the underside of the paper plate.
- Fold the paper plate in half.
- Place approximately a handful of macaroni inside folded paper plate.
- Staple edge to seal macaroni inside folded plate.
- Place masking tape along edge to cover staples.
- Shake to music.
Get Creative:
- Use two paper plates which when joined make a round shaker.
- Experiment to see if different fillings or different amounts of filling make different sounds.
