2 cups bi-carbonate soda
1 cup cornflour
1 ¼ cup cold water
Paint
Spoon
Saucepan
Wax paper
Biscuit cutters/butter knife
Clear varnish/nail polish
- Mix dry ingredients in saucepan.
- Add water to dry mix.
- Stir until mixture becomes smooth.
- Boil for 1 minute.
- Stir constantly until mixture resembles mashed potatoes.
- Spoon out onto plate and cover with a damp cloth and leave to cool.
- When cool, knead and roll out on waxed paper.
To make jewellery or mobile:
- Cut out designs by hand or using biscuit cutters.
- Allow to dry until hard. This will take approximately 24 hours.
- Paint and allow to dry.
- Coat with clear varnish or nail polish.
